LARGE TIMBER TEA CHESTS

ONE AVAILABLE NOW. Large 1960s Japanese tea chests. These cedar tea boxes were originally used by tea merchants in Japan to transport and store loose leaf green tea. Lined with zinc to keep moisture and insects out. The original labels are present, and the large black character on the label is Japanese for tea, adding to visual appeal. A sturdy, strong box with a lid can be used as a coffee table, bedside table, and for storage, amongst many other uses. Tea chests are in excellent condition. Several are available.
