WASA 1628

This beautiful model of the Swedish ship Wasa is housed in a timber and glass display case. The Wasa sank in 1628 after only about half an hour of it’s maiden voyage due to a combination of poor design and stupidity. After being salvaged in the 1960s it is now on display in a purpose built museum in Stockholm.
